Just because an event hasn't been or hasn't been observed before doesn't mean it never happened or didn't happen. Predicting the future based only on what has happened or what has been observed so far is an underestimate. Just because something hasn't happened yet, just because it hasn't been discovered by someone, doesn't mean it won't happen.
Swans are waterfowl and are highly dependent on the water sources around them. They live in a variety of environments such as lakes, ponds, slow flowing rivers, streams, wetlands, swamps. These birds usually choose areas close to water when nesting. They nest on islands, reeds and densely vegetated areas near the water's edge.
Would a Swan Make a Good Pet?
This is even though we have domesticated some species; does not indicate that the swan is a good option for a pet. To provide a suitable nest, the bird must have a mate and a large body of water to swim in. No wild swan species makes a good pet.

All swans in farms, zoos and parks have a common need; a large lake or pond! These birds need to have a place to swim and forage in the water, even if you feed them pellets. Pellet feeds meet all the nutritional needs of swans, but they still need to swim and forage in the wild as they wish. These birds also form lifelong mates, so they need a partner or friend to live with.
